First, let’s make a key distinction. Many will ask, what’s the difference between a therapist and a life coach? Without getting into the nitty gritty, I find the best way to describe it is to think of a therapist as the rearview mirror, and a life coach as the windshield. Both roles hold lots of value, but one helps you make sense of your past, and the other permits you to use what you’ve learned from your past to build a better future. That’s why I love life coaching. Your future’s bright!

So, how can a life coach help?

Well, LIFE is a pretty big umbrella, so there are many ways a life coach can support you. I enjoy helping others reach their potential. I don’t just work with betrayal clients, but I have found there’s a silver lining with betrayal. When your world shatters, you have three options. Fight, flight, or freeze. The clients I work with are fighters, and with the right effort and attitude, life coaching can unleash an individual like that. That said, you don’t have to go through betrayal to reach your potential. All you have to do is set the intention, start somewhere, and stay consistent. If that’s therapy first, then I commend you. If you’re not a candidate for therapy or you’ve already digested what you needed to from therapy, then life coaching is a great path forward.

So, what do I mean when I say “reach your potential”?

Exactly what I said. I specialize in transformation. Transformation requires change. In order to make those changes, I’ve found one of the best ways to increase your odds is to hire a life coach. When you build a business, you have to find your tribe: CPA, attorney, etc. If you’re a professional athlete, you have a tribe of coaches. It’s my opinion that we’re in times where coaches should be accessible to everyone else too. We could all use a little more encouragement, more accountability, and a framework for our future. You can lean on a life coach as a mentor, a teammate, and a partner in progression. Life coaches help you attain your goals at your pace. Direction is more important than speed. A lot of people are going nowhere, fast. Use your life coach, and communicate with them so you get the most out of every session. That’s how you increase your odds.

I’ve heard you mention self discovery and intentional living, what does any of that mean?

Glad you asked. Self discovery is an opportunity to look within. It requires vulnerability. The benefit of self discovery is that you get in touch with your authentic self. When we do that, we can respond to life the way we intend to, and it feels like life is happening FOR us. If we don’t do that, and we have some “bad programming”, odds are we will sabotage ourselves, and it feels like life is happening TO us. The difference between the two is night and day. I love people, and I want what’s best for you, so I really enjoy working on self discovery. It will open up opportunities in front of you that you’d miss otherwise.

Intentional living builds on self discovery. Once you know who you are, inside and out, then you have a heightened awareness and a new level of discernment. This means you’re ready for intentional living. This is where I help those who want to build out their dream life, bring it into focus. We get real about what’s in front of you. We get real about the decisions you’re making, and the impact they have on the goals and dreams you’ve shared. It’s an opportunity to build your dream life, one step at a time, with a trusted partner, who’s been in your shoes. That’s a lot of value.

No matter what you decide, make sure you find the right fit. Whether you’re working with a therapist or a life coach, trust is key.

Much love 💪❤️
